Our Mares
Our brood mares are not just pasture pets.
They are easy to handle under saddle and are naturally well gaited with good speed and trail manners.
We have chosen our broodmares from the best Louisiana and Virginia bloodlines to be found but more importantly,
THEY DO THE DEAL.
These mares have just as much speed, style and class as some of the best stallions you can find!!!
They are kept in good riding condition year round. But of course not sped or over-worked while in foal. We gotta take care of the mamas!!!

Poca is a fast and very level headed trail horse with endurance to go all day.
Poca is ridden regularly by my 7 year old son, she is that easy going.
Poca recently completed an AERC 25 mile LD endurance ride and finished 32nd out of just over 100 horses. When the ride was over, she vetted out with all A's and had hardly broke a sweat. The next day she was trotting and galloping around our pasture like a colt. She definitly could have gone faster or more miles. Not bad for our first time out!!!

Sally comes from old Louisiana single-footing bloodlines.
Sally has delivered her foal to "The Virginia Gravedigger" !!!!
